Ernie Pyle Clowns
Objective: To entertain people of all ages through presentations that reflect issues regarding self-esteem.
The Ernie Pyle Clowns are a group of boys and girls ages 11-13. The are supported by donations and fund raisers. Their sponsor is Don (Patches) Mondragon (counselor at Ernie Pyle). Mr Mondragon goes through the entire process of what it takes to be a clown. He works with each individual in developing his/her clown character. The group travel around the city to entertain, and present a program on self-esteem lasting from 45 minutes to one hour. They perform skits and dances that they have created and choreographed. They present themselves at parades, social events, charities and various community events. They claim the title of "Ambassadors of Joy"
